Saving Money During Holidays

Hello beautiful people! The holiday season is approaching fast. Are you ready? Are your finances ready? I'm big on buying gifts during the holiday season, so I always have to make sure I'm budgeting & saving. I wanted to provide you guys with a few tips on how to budget & save money during the holiday season.

  1. Set a Spending Limit & Make a List

It's hard for me to save money when I don't have an end goal in mind, so I recommend setting a spending limit for yourself. You may ask what amount you need to set for your limit. That's all based upon how many bills you have and other financial priorities. So make a list of all the things you need during the holiday season including gifts, decor, food, travel, etc. I've noticed that it's easier for me to save money when I make a list. I recommend spending $100 - $200 on gifts for family and $20-$50 on gifts for friends. It's great to see the reaction from others when they open their gifts, but it's not great if you're broke afterwards just to get a reaction from someone. When you complete these steps, it makes budgeting your money a lot easier and the holiday season a little bit less stressful.

2. Self-Discipline

I can't talk about saving money without talking about self-discipline. It takes a whole lot of self-discipline to save money. If you don't have it, then you may have some difficulties saving money. If you do have trouble saving money, then figure out a way to reward yourself for when you do stick to your limit & save money. Maybe its buying your own self a gift or taking a trip. Whatever works for you.

3. Deals & Coupons

We all know there are many deals that go on during the holiday season. I personally never buy anything unless its on sale. If you think like this during holiday shopping, it can save you a heck of a whole lot of money.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed making it for you. I also hope you're able to take something away from this post and save money this holiday season.

Until next time!

XOXO
