Blogger Xchange Meet-Up at Old Dominick Distillery

Blogger Xchange is a new blogger meet-up series that started in Nashville, and has worked its way to the Memphis community. Blogger Xchange hosted its blogger meet-up here in Memphis last Thursday at Old Dominick, which is the cutest old-fashioned rustic distillery!

We were able to take a tour of the Distillery at Old Dominick, and it was very interesting just to see the behind the scenes of how their infamous Memphis Toddy is made. They had a huge room with over 700 of these humungous barrels full of whiskey. It was definitely a site to see. A few of my friends were there, and we were able to sit down and listen to advice given from multiple panelists that were bloggers from the Memphis community. These bloggers included: Holly Whitfield (IloveMemphis Blog), Paris Chanel, CurvaceouslyBee, and Kay Elle. These ladies were stunning, and each had their own great tip of advice.

A Few Blogging Tips:

1. Be sure you are familiar with your best times to post according to your followers. You can do this by using Instagram business analytics or there are a few apps out there to use including: When to post, Best time, and PrimeTime.

2. If you are unsure of how much to charge for a post, never go below 10% of your following.

3. Make sure that you have a media kit to provide to companies when they reach out to you for collaborations. Your media kit should include a small bio about yourself, your social media stats, and any other brands that you have worked with in the past. Treat your media kit like it's your portfolio.

Old Dominick had provided each of the bloggers with 3 options for drinks. I had chosen the Summer Smash, and it was really really good! It was so cute, and it definitely deserved it's own picture! I made sure to include shots from my instagram story below, so you guys could get a complete behind the scenes of the Distillery. The room with all of the copper pipes was my favorite! This room was the best for pictures <3

Paris Chanel was one of the panelists featured at the event. She's the cutest right?! I first met this beauty last summer when I helped her with a special makeup project. She is one of the sweetest girls you could meet. She really has a great personality, and she's super fun to hang around!!
