Happy New Year's Eve Eve beautiful people! :) As the New Year approaches, there's always a time to reflect for awareness. Today we are on reflecting on my fashion, beauty and random favorites from 2022. Keep reading down below to see what made the list. Top one of the topics below to toggle down to section.
Good Molecules Skincare
$80 at Good Molecules or your local Ulta
Up until this year, I was using a skincare line from Buff City Soap (local shop). They stopped selling their skincare line, and I was stuck. Good Molecules sent me a package of their niacinamide toner, serum, and moisturizer so I decided to try them since that's what I had on hand. It was love at first use. Niacinamide is an ingredient dermatologists recommend for brightening dark spots. It works beautifully. If you need more information on what products your skincare routine should consist of, see my "Updated Self-Care" blog post here.
Elf Holy Hydration! Makeup Melting Cleaning Balm
$11 at E.l.f. Cosmetics or your local drugstore
I've never used a makeup melting cleansing balm until this year. Many people had raved about how makeup melting cleansing balms were changing the skincare game. I resisted the trend for a while until I received this small pot of magic in my Ipsy box. This makeup cleansing balm is everything! The scent alone would make me buy this product. It's very refreshing and water based. If you've ever smelled Neutrogena hydro boost line, it smells similar to that. This product leaves your skin feeling hydrated.
KISS 9-Row Non-Slip Detangling Brush
$5 at Walmart
This year I focused on my curly hair journey. I had my first curly cut, and the beautician taught me a lot as far as curly hair routine. One product she insisted that I buy was a brush that specifically defines curls. There are many out there, but this was the cheapest one that I found that I knew would get the job done. When I tell you this has helped the formation of my curls so much. When detangling your curls, make sure your hair is drenched with water. This will help get the best results as far as definition of your curls.
Versace Bright Crystal Perfume
$65 at Sephora
I have a few perfumes that are my favorite, but I found myself picking this bottle up the most. See below for notes.
Top Notes: Yuzu, Pomegranate, Water
Middle Notes: Lotus Flower, Magnolia, Peony
Base Notes: Musk, Mahogany, Amber
Anastasia Beverly Hills Lash Brag Mascara
$27 at Sephora
I love this mascara because of the wand. Effortless with no mess. That's it. That's all.
$4 at SHEIN
I discovered SHEIN's lashes this year. I was really sleeping on them. They have amazing lashes that are cheaper than any drugstore I've shopped at. They have tons of different types from natural to dramatic, and most of them are under $10 for a pack of 5.
Pixie Vitamin C Serum
$24 at Target
This serum is part of my vaginal skincare routine. The vitamin C works beautifully on any ingrown hairs and dark pigmentation. If you'd like full rundown of my vaginal skincare routine, then read my "Update Self-Care Routine" here.
$22 at ALDO
These rings are so classy, and they take a while to tarnish.
Under $10 at SHEIN
SHEIN is truly slept on. I find so many fun accessories. Be sure to Read reviews with every item you purchase though. This will help you determine quality & sizing.
