Valentine's Day: Singles' Edition
Hey guys! It's Valentine's Day weekend, so you know what that means. It's time for all of the sappy love & relationship posts on social media. This is my first year in a while celebrating Valentine's Day single, and I'm honestly really excited to celebrate myself. Even though I'm not in a relationship this Valentine's Day and I have no sappy love story to share, I still wanted to share ways that my single ladies can celebrate this love day especially in the middle of a pandemic.

Enjoy Yourself!
To all of my single ladies, you may not have anyone to make reservations or surprise you with a gift, but it doesn't mean you can't do things for you and celebrate your damn self lol! I don't mind taking myself out to a romantic dinner and sitting by myself to self reflect and think of all the things going on in my life. This time that I take is very therapeutic. If you aren't the type to go out by yourself, then you can schedule a Netflix and chill date with yourself. Turn into a couch potato and buy your favorite meal, pop some bubbly and turn on your favorite movie or show. Honestly, a Netflix and chill date with myself is definitely calling my name lol.
Since the start of the pandemic, music has been therapy for myself and I’m sure it has been for you as well. I wanted to take the time to share a Valentine’s Day music playlist to set the mood & tone for this love day weekend. Check out DJ NYCELIFE’s “Nyce & Slow” music playlist on Sound Cloud below. If you’re a fan of slow R&B this one is for you!
Just because you're single on Valentine's Day does not mean you have to spend the holiday alone. You could always schedule some time with your girlfriends that are also single so you can keep each other company. Hosting a brunch or tea party right at home is always a fun way to get dressed up and take cute photos. Or you girls could grab some brunch, go shopping and treat yourself to life's little delights. You may ask what are life's little delights. Anything you want it to be. Anything that makes you happy.
Gift Yourself!
If you thought I wasn't going to buy myself something for Valentine's Day, then think again lol. I've already bought myself a bouquet of yellow roses to kick off the holiday and this probably won't be the only bouquet I buy lol. I will also buy myself some chocolate, indulge in my favorite meal, and treat myself to a new fit :) I wanted to go ahead and share a list of items that would be great as Valentine's Day gifts. See below.
This year's Valentine's Day outfit is sponsored by Shop Shelby Jewel. However, I wanted to take the time and share a few looks from past Valentine's Day. See link below to last year's Valentine's Day post for some true outfit inspiration.
